Ok, 12 weeks of the diet and exercise plan are in the books. How did I do? Well, it wouldn’t be a weekly update without making you read after the jump to find out.
First it was the knee injury, then doctor’s orders to stop working out until we get my BP under control. (much better now…) Suffice to say I didn’t get much working out done. That said, I still managed to maintain a steady 2 pounds/week weight loss pace. (I had a small blip in the middle when I went to Florida with the family, but I buckled down after that.) I’m sure I will continue this plan after I return from Dragon*Con, and I’m not exactly eager to eat a bunch of sugary crap food, but I’m not going to fret over it for a few days. The doctor checked me out last week and said that I’m on the right track and to keep it up. That’s a pretty nice vote of confidence.
Details:
- BP is coming down to acceptable levels, but we’re still figuring out the right cocktail of drugs to get it perfect.
- Body is adjusting to new BP meds, but it’s not too bad.
Results:
- Current Weight: 310
- Start Weight: 334
- Goal Weight by 9/1/2009 (DONE): 300
- Weight Loss to Date: 24 pounds (2 pounds per week)
- Weight loss by 9/1/2009 at current pace (12 week total): 24 pounds
Plan for this week:
- More walking (Dragon*Con… I’m sure I’ll get more walking in.)
- Stay on diet plan, but understand that meals will be irregular, like everything else at D*C)
- Take a break for a week or so, and then set a new goal. (300 is only 10 pounds away, so I’m thinking 280 pounds by the end of the year)
