Week 11 – Finish Line is in sight

One week until Dragon*Con!  And while my goal of losing 35 pounds is out of reach (unless I lose 14 pounds this week), I’m fairly pleased with my results so far.  As always, for the gory details, read after the jump.

I fully expect that my diet will go to complete hell after this week.  On the other hand, my level of activity will be much higher than normal, so after the next update, one week from today, I’m going to stay off the scale for a couple of weeks and just let my body relax a bit.  I’m not going to eat too bad, because I feel like shit when I start eating a bunch of junk.  After I get back from the convention, I’m going to decompress for a couple of weeks before settling into my new goal of getting below 300 pounds by the end of this year.  I’m going to set a series of interim goals until I get to my desired weight of 250 pounds. (My old playing weight)  If I still think I can lose a little more, then I’ll keep going, but ultimately, I want to be at a new, permanent, healthy weight by the end of next year.

Details:

  • Diet was average this week, not particularly good, but not blown to hell.  Had a cheat day this week, which helped focus on the rest of the week.
  • BP is coming down to acceptable levels, but we’re still figuring out the right cocktail of drugs to get it perfect.
  • Body has adjusted to BP medications, and I feel fine.

Results:

  • Current Weight:  314
  • Start Weight: 334
  • Goal Weight by 9/1/2009 (2 weeks): 300
  • Weight Loss to Date: 20 pounds (1.8 pounds per week)
  • Weight loss by 9/1/2009 at current pace (12 week total): 22 pounds

Plan for this week:

  • More walking (Dragon*Con… I’m sure I’ll get more walking in.)
  • Stay on diet plan, but understand that meals will be irregular, like everything else at D*C)
