Week 10, back on track

Not a very good week at the Grim house… But the weight is still coming off.  For details, read after the jump.

Went to the doc and had my blood pressure checked, and it was “holy shit!” high.  High enough that I am temporarily restricted from lifting weights, and must confine my workouts to walking and tennis.  The good news is, it is trending downward, and with continued weight loss, I should be fine.  I’ve been told to “forget that salt exists” but that “a drink or two per day with caffeine isn’t the end of the world for you.”  Doc says that my current diet is fine, and that I am heading in the right direction.

Details:

  • Did well on the diet, but need to do better on between-meal snacks. (cannot miss them)
  • Must keep exercise “low intensity” for a few weeks due to BP.
  • BP Medication is playing a few tricks with my energy levels, but I feel fine overall.

Results:

  • Current Weight:  316
  • Start Weight: 334
  • Goal Weight by 9/1/2009 (2 weeks): 300
  • Weight Loss to Date: 18 pounds (1.8 pounds per week)
  • Weight loss by 9/1/2009 at current pace (12 week total): 22 pounds

Plan for this week:

  • More walking
  • Stay on diet plan.
