Ok, so my friend Dave over at Certified Sound is into “kink”. That’s probably more than you ever wanted to know about someone you may never meet in person, but the guy DOES blog and podcast about it, so it is somewhat topical.
I was taking a look at his blog where he talks about bondage in comics (ooh, Wonder Woman and the golden lariat… never saw THAT one coming…) and some dialog from one of the panels caused me to make the “WTF? face”

Although there’s are plenty of totalitarian ways to take that I think it’s only written that way because he could get away with saying Bondage is the Only Freedom at the time. Glad to see I could give you a case of WTF Face.

Personally, I don’t view it strictly as totalitarian, but more of an expression of what conditions an individual will give power to another.
